“Guilty as Charged your Honor!”

Howdy, Howdy, Howdy!

My name is Eric Gignac, (that’s pronounced jean-yak) and I am currently the visual communication director for the Virginia Edition Publishing Company.   I graduated from the Art Institute of Houston in 1986 and have worked in the Aerospace industry as a graphic artist and concept illustrator for over 30 years.

I have received top honors for my design work with Lockheed Martin, and I have received international recognition for my ISS conceptual illustrations and Shuttle mission patch designs for NASA. I have completed two Graphic Novels based on stories written by Robert A. Heinlein, which include;

“Have Space Suit-Will Travel” and "Citizen of the Galaxy."

I live in Friendswood, Texas, with my beautiful wife Lucy, and our two college-age children. My son, Eric (E2), is twice my size and plays middle linebacker for Concordia, Wisconsin and can kick my butt.  My lovely daughter, Soleil, is studying both engineering and architecture so she can both intellectually and artistically kick my butt as well. I am clearly at that stage with my children, where my life is a constant struggle between staying relevant and not getting my butt handed to me.

Well, at least the family lizard loves me.

Thanks for writing to me!

Don't be shy, say Howdy back!
